As the leaves turn to a tapestry of reds and golds and the air becomes crisp, it's the time of the year when I really enjoy transforming my home into a haven full of cozy, autumnal vibes.

From the scent of seasonal candles to the inviting warmth of the fireplace, here's a glimpse into some of my latest online fall home decor finds that infuse a delightful touch of moody elegance into the interior design of my home:
The smell of autumn around the house
Autumn, for me, has a particular scent that is so inviting. The flickering glow of candles (real and fake) around my home ignites a sense of warmth and tranquility for my guests and family. To evoke the spirit of the season, I recommend using scents like warm vanilla, spicy cinnamon, and earthy cedarwood. These fragrances instantly transport me to a cozy cabin in the woods, wrapped in a blanket, sipping on hot apple cider...with whiskey.

Most of my candlesticks are vintage around my home, but I have been loving this bronze candelabra I found online (Amazon and Hobby Lobby have it) and styling it with various spiral taper candles on the coffee table, like these from Anthropologie. If you are looking for just singular candles to place around your home, this is my favorite brand currently to use. I wanted a room to have an all day lasting scent of cedarwood, so if you are like me, then I recommend jumping on the Pura train. Right now I am using Taft’s Eden No. 1 as my go-to Pura scent for the living room!

Moody (and easy!) lighting
I love the notion of not committing to an outlet or hardwiring when it comes to the placement of lamps or wall lighting. In our downstairs guest bedroom, I have added a new gallery wall that brings in darker and bold colors like burgundy, gold, and black. I used this battery and remote remote-operated picture light to make the gallery wall look more tailored. Additionally, around the house I have really enjoyed these cordless gold touch-lamps that are cute and elegant at the same time. For our outdoor patio, I have also placed these cordless, rechargeable lamps on either side of the patio couch so that we can enjoy the autumn evenings outside.

Velvet curtains
Recently, we decided to update our curtains in the downstairs guestroom and upstairs office with some pleated velvet curtains. We have done custom blinds/curtain installations in other rooms around our house (primary bedroom, kitchen, living room), but since the office and guestroom are both subject to change in function in the coming years, I didn’t want to commit to a custom option only to change it in a year.
So in the meantime, we love our velvet curtains that have a pinch pleat and make the rooms so cozy and elegant! You can find the dusty rose curtains in the downstairs guestroom online here and the green curtains for the office can be found here. I even updated our guest bathroom with this curtain and took out the shower curtain we were using before to make the bathroom feel more homey. To make sure this idea still works and is functional for showering and bathing, I added a second rod to hold up the shower liner.

Blankets and pillows
I think everyone would agree that adding a throw blanket to the back of a chair or draping it across the couch invites guests (or yourself) to snuggle in and stay a while. This throw from Etsy is more for looks than it is for comfort, but I really adore the colors and pattern, and it adds a beautiful, rich texture to the living room couch. For comfort, we have been snuggling with the Arhaus chunky knit throw blanket. I loved the look so much, I decided to order one in camel and one in brown.

These are just a handful of autumn decor items in my home that I think elevate the moodiness of my interior design, filling it with warmth, elegance, and an undeniable festive spirit.
