The Lounge

The Lounge is my most playful space! I enjoy using this room as a place where we can show off some of our curated art, antiques, book, and records. This lounge may transition into a different type of space soon, but for now, we love using this lounge as the perfect place to enjoy a cocktail, put some vinyl on, and read. The angles of this lounge are not conventional, so I decided to use that to make the room more playful.

The vibe

I wanted our lounge to be a room that exuded happiness, so creating a playful color palette was needed.

Here are sources to some of the fun additions to this space:

Heald coffee table

Chandelier

Cowhide brown and white rug

Loungin'

This room functions as a space for friends and family to gather to enjoy music and libations, so I wanted the seating to be cozy and classic.

Pops of personality

Since this space is versatile and acts as an area for music and cocktails, we wanted to add pops of color in the art, seating and design. Links below on some finds:

Pink velvet & gold chair

Vinyl display shelves

Record player

Record player storage sideboard

Industrial bar cart

Line Drawing Faces Framed Wall Art

Old & new

One of my most treasured pieces of furniture in our home is this Chinoiserie hand-painted and decorated writing desk that I purchased from an antique collector in Washington, D.C. when we were living there - obviously it was love at first sight.

The mirror and vases were also special finds from Atlanta's Scotts Antiques Show, but I have included dupes below:

Chinoiserie writing desks

Mosaic vase
