The Dining Room
One of my favorite spaces in our home is our dining room. It is dramatic but classic, with a romantic touch of "France meets the South" decor. This room becomes the place where we make memories and share experiences around the table and is the perfect place for trying a new bottle of wine while enjoying a home-cooked meal.

My inspiration: I wanted the feeling of this room to evoke a sense of nostalgic romanticism, and the mural invites whoever enters the room to daydream and get lost in a moody landscape. The mural is contrasted by a feminine, French antique china cabinet that mimics the lines and arches of the chairs. I absolutely love changing the tablescapes for each season or party, so I look forward to sharing those moments on this blog as well.

Below you will find sources for some of my favorite curated pieces in my dining room. I add to this list regularly, so please check back often. If you do not see sources for items you are curious about, I also share more about my curated finds on The Everyday Maximalist Instagram & on my blog

The table & seating
We chose the table and seating from the Bernhardt collection. This collection is called Santa Barbara. We love it because of its versatility: you can add decor to make it perfect for formal occasions or you can keep it simple for a casual affair. I styled this with six Santa Barbara arm chairs to keep the look more elevated and not too relaxed.

The mural
This beauty is the showstopper of the room. One of the wonderful things about this mural is that the sense of place can be personalized to whomever enters the room. Some days I am reminded of the marshlands of the Georgia Golden Isles and other times I am brought back to the countryside of Granada, Spain or Oxford, England.

Chandelier
As I was designing this dining space, I knew I wanted to have lighting that was delicate yet statement worthy. My home is a home full of contrasts: elegant yet bold, moody yet bright. So this chandelier was the perfect fit to bring the textures and elements together.

French china cabinet
I found this incredible French antique china cabinet at Scott's Antiques Show in Atlanta (if you are not familiar, you best check it out!). I have linked below similar china cabinets. I loved the curves and details of this delicate cabinet that mirrored our chairs but created contrast next to the mural and bold dining table.

Gold & iron full length mirror
One of the most prized additions to our home is our full length antique gold + iron mirror. I certainly get the most questions about this jaw-dropping mirror. I love mixing statement, lux pieces with traditional staples, and I could not ask for more with this mirror. I have included similar mirrors below since this was a custom designed piece.
